Chasing Rivers and Waterfalls: A Glimpse into this Spring’s Journeys of Transformation

Each spring, the urge returns, as persistent and transformative as ever!

It begins with an echo of waters murmuring and of waterfalls roaring inside my being until it becomes impossible to ignore. Even before spring fully arrives, it pulls me back into its hypnotic rhythm, into the places where life awakens in every current and every drop.

Some rivers I chase have found their way into the 2025 Lonely Planet Middle East guidebook, where I had the honor to share my experiences and author the Lebanon content. Others remain precious hidden escapes in Lebanon’s folds, far from the well-trodden paths.

Nature has always been the force that breathes life into my soul.

Among its countless wonders, nothing moves me more deeply than the sound of flowing water. It doesn’t merely soothe; it stirs something within me, washing away the noise of the world and awakening life itself. Their memory carries me back, to the rivers that have shaped me, to the whispered vow of chasing more, wherever they may lead.

When I trusted this inner call, when I finally followed the thread of my passion, true transformation began. In surrendering, I met my inner truth, a truth that had surfaced time and again but was always pushed back beneath the weight of systems, responsibilities, and expectations.

It had simply waited, patient and insistent, to be heard.
And once I listened, I could no longer silence it.

Allow your truth to surface, because a life led by passion is the only life truly worth living.

Nature is the healer. It is HOME.

Many rivers and waterfalls have been and are still being chased this season, and more will be shared soon. But some places will remain hidden to protect them from human greed, from footprints that scar the earth and make it bleed.

For a closer glimpse into these journeys, you can visit my Instagram highlight stories from March and April as well as the live broadcasts I shared on Facebook, although unfortunately the live videos are automatically deleted after 30 days.
