Lebanon: A Legacy of Resilience and an Eternal Spirit

From infinity, Lebanon was born, and to infinity, it shall remain. As long as humanity walks this earth and the Holy Scriptures speak its name, its light will never dim.

As we look to the flag—a lone symbol battered by relentless waves, standing firm against the wind—we see a reflection of Lebanon itself. Encircled by storms of greed and oppression, this land has faced countless challenges, yet it stands tall.

No matter how many blows strike this sacred land, its spirit endures endlessly. Homes may burn, but the fire within us can never be extinguished. For every tree uprooted, ten more will rise. For every dream shattered, we will dream anew. Isn’t this the essence of who we are? A nation of resilience, faith, pride, and unyielding determination?

Aren’t we the proud descendants of those who carved civilization from chaos, transforming valleys into thriving villages and mountains into strongholds of freedom? Rooted in the legacy of the ancient Phoenicians—fearless pioneers who ruled the seas, revolutionized global trade, gifted the world the alphabet, and achieved triumphs unmatched across generations—we carry the weight of history and long for a bright future. Even as waves of destruction rise to silence our voice, we stand unbroken, steadfast, and strong.

Lebanon is more than a homeland—it is a timeless legacy, a profound identity, and the unyielding spirit of a people who will never bow.

As we pass this Independence Day, I hold onto hope—a hope that one day we will rise above the devastation and the loss. That one day, no enemy will dare to even think of stepping onto our sovereign soil.

I dream of a Lebanon where independence is not just a memory of the past but a living, thriving reality.
